On Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Chalkida, SVSE held the event organized in the context of its 44th Annual Ordinary General Assembly, under the theme: “Circular economy and environmental protection alongside industrial development and prosperity.”

Opening remarks were delivered by the Regional Governor of Central Greece Mr. Fanis Spanos, the Chairman of SEV Mr. Spyros Theodoropoulos and the Chairman of SVSE Mr. Panos Lolos.

The discussion featured the European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and Competitive Circular Economy Ms. Jessika Roswall, the Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Stavros Papastavrou, and the President of BUSINESSEUROPE Mr. Fredrik Persson, moderated by journalist Ms. Maria Sarafoglou.

The event highlighted the importance of industrial development that connects competitiveness with environmental responsibility, circular economy and sustainable prosperity.
